Nico Paz has heaped praise on Lamine Yamal and is keen to link up with Barcelona’s young forward.

Como youngster Nico Paz has hailed Lamine Yamal as one of the best players in the world and has openly expressed his desire to play alongside the 17-year-old Barcelona forward.

‘But if I had to say it another way, right now I would choose Lamine Yamal. For me, he is one of the best players in the world and at his age, the truth is I would really like to play with him.’
Under Cesc Fabregas, Paz has found his rhythm and has played a key role for Como this season. The 20-year-old midfielder said of the change: ‘It’s a big change. At Real Madrid I played more in the youth team. It was difficult but a good change. I’m adapting well and I’m looking forward to the next step. ‘
Though Paz has found a new home at Como, Real Madrid retain control over his future, with the buyback option still in place.
Should Madrid decide to trigger the clause, they would have the opportunity to bring him back to the Santiago Bernabeu, despite the impressive progress he has made at Como.
